Kindle successfully conducted a comprehensive baseline survey across 43 villages in Nayagram block, Jhargram district, West Bengal. The survey covered 650 households, focusing on socio-economic profiles, reproductive health, adolescent health, immunization, hygiene, sanitation, gender issues, and more. South 24 Parganas and Howrah (2023-24)In the following year, Kindle conducted another impactful baseline study in South 24 Parganas and Howrah. This survey addressed primary healthcare issues including reproductive health, adolescent health, immunization, hygiene, sanitation, and gender dynamics. Kindle conducted an impact assessment study in Howrah Municipal Corporation focusing on comprehensive TB care services. Another manual developed by Kindle during this period is titled "Anwesha Led ARMNCH+A IEC Program in West Bengal", aimed at Anwesha Counsellors in adolescent health clinics across block hospitals in West Bengal.
Over the past three years, Kindle has conducted training sessions for over 300 frontline healthcare providers across Jhargram, South 24 Parganas, and Howrah.
In rural West Bengal, Kindle's healthcare professionals have provided medical check-ups and free medicines to over 1000 individuals in need over the last three years. Based on our studies, Kindle has identified gaps in awareness about available healthcare services among rural populations. Through 20 awareness programs, we have reached over 2000 individuals, focusing on health, nutrition, and livelihood issues.
Kindle is supporting Health Department of West Bengal to strengthen the Nutrition Rehabilitation Centre in Basanti, South 24 Parganas during 2025-26.
On the eve of National Leprosy Day 30th Janaury 2025 and thereafter for two weeks, Kindle conducted several awareness Programmes in schools and Leprosy colonies in West Bengal.
Kindle offers a 3-month certificate course in Public Health Leadership, covering modules on leadership, program management, epidemiology basics, maternal & child healthcare, communicable and non-communicable diseases, monitoring & evaluation, impact assessment, and health research fundamentals. The course, conducted in hybrid mode, is open year-round to graduates from medical colleges, development institutes, and universities.
Course Fees: Rs. 7500 per student.This 3-month certificate course includes theoretical components such as healthy diet, nutrition, hygiene & sanitation, First Aid, basic mental healthcare, and the art of geriatric care. It also offers hands-on training in private hospitals and nursing homes for bedside care. The course is available to 10th-grade students, with certification upon passing a final examination conducted by independent examiners.
